Special
Project:- Rights Of The Unborn Child Recently
I attended the State Conference of the Knights of the Southern Cross in
Warragul on Sunday 26 October 2008. I made a recommendation to
the State Council that although the Decriminalisation of abortion
legislation passed parliament the battle to defend the rights of the
unborn children had just begun. For those of us her were
able to attend the one Hour of prayer at St Patrick’s Cathedral on
Sunday 5 October 2008 and later to attend the peaceful protest on the
steps of Parliament House we firmly believed the bill would be defeated in
the Upper House of State Parliament. My wife and I were inspired
by the total support of all those present supporting the rights of the
unborn children to be heard and utterly disgusted and saddened when the
bill to decriminalize
abortion was subsequently passed in the Upper House. Brothers I believe the fight
to overturn this decision has just begun. The most powerful weapon we have
at our disposal is prayer and through prayer God’s will be done. I suggest we continue with
the 1 hour of prayer asking God to protect the unborn each month for the
next 12 months as commenced by the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne on 5
October 2008 and urge all branches to support this idea. Please email your support
for this idea to the State Branch so that we can get the prayer meetings
underway and continue our fight to protect the rights of the unborn. Brother Brian Philp Knox Branch |

While the most powerful weapon we have at our disposal is prayer and through prayer God’s will be done. Is it wise to fight to overturn this decision to decriminalize abortion. Would not God’s will be better served by promoting the sanctity of all life and the joy of bringing a child into the world to help improve the quality of life for all and preserve our planet Earth.
